About this game

Purr-fect Care Day is a free online game for kids about looking after a cat. Children help Sumi get the house ready for a rescued kitten, then care for it, and learn what every cat needs: food, fresh water, a clean litter tray, a safe bed, play, safe outdoor time, gentle love and vet check-ups.

Two levels

  • Little Paws (Kindy to Year 2): drag each item to the right room, then care for the kitten from morning to bedtime. Every line is read aloud. About 5 minutes.
  • Rescue Crew (Years 3 to 6): work out the best room for each item, then run a seven-day care week. Children share their time between daily jobs, play, brushing and cuddles, turn down unsafe ideas, choose safe outdoor time, take the kitten to the vet and spot signs of illness. About 10 minutes.

For teachers and parents

  • Links to the NSW Science and Technology K–6 syllabus (2024), Living things: what animals need to stay healthy.
  • Wrong choices never end the game. Sumi explains why, and children try again.
  • Free, with no sign-up, no ads and nothing collected.
  • Works sideways or upright on iPads, Chromebooks, phones, laptops and classroom smartboards. Number keys pick answers and Enter moves on.
