What happens at the home visit
Two of our team pop round for about 30–45 minutes, before you meet your cat. It’s a chat, a quick look around, and a chance to ask us anything.
What we’ll look at together
- A quiet room where your new cat can settle in for the first week or two
- Windows, screens and balconies, so there are no easy escape routes or falls
- Your plan for keeping your cat safe from roads and local wildlife: indoors, a cat run or an enclosure
- Other pets in the home and how you’d like to introduce them
- Common hazards like lilies, loose blind cords and open bins
- If you rent, your landlord’s written OK to keep a cat
- Your photo ID. We look at it to confirm who you are. We don’t copy it or keep any details
What we’re not checking
- How tidy your house is
- How big your home is, or whether you own it
- Fancy cat gear. A litter tray, bowls and a cosy spot is plenty
If anything needs sorting, like a loose fly screen, we’ll talk it through and help you fix it. It rarely stops an adoption.
Interested in one of our cats?
Send us your details and we’ll be in touch to tell you more and arrange a time to meet.
Not sure which cat yet? That’s fine. Leave “Which cat?” blank and tell us a bit about your home.
